The Placement Cell at B. P. Poddar Institute of Management & Technology is a dedicated unit that works throughout the academic year to connect students with employment opportunities across industry sectors. The cell maintains active relationships with recruiters in banking, technology, consulting, retail and financial services, and coordinates the full cycle of campus recruitment — from company registration and pre-placement talks through to offer letters and joining formalities.
Beyond recruitment drives, the cell runs a structured placement readiness programme that covers resume building, group discussion practice, aptitude training and mock interviews. Students are coached on how to present themselves professionally and how to navigate multi-round selection processes that are common at larger organisations. The objective is to ensure that every student who walks into a placement drive is prepared, not just eligible.
The institute has maintained consistent placement records over the years, with placement rates ranging from 60% to 90% across different batches. The 2018-19 and 2016-17 batches achieved placement rates of 89% and 90% respectively. The cell works to improve these numbers each year by expanding the recruiter base and strengthening industry relationships.
